My mum arrived safely (over a week ago) and the house dress fit her well. She said she likes it and I'm very pleased with myself!
The pattern was #24 from the Japanese book called "Favourite Tunic, Dress, Vest book" (ISBN: 9784834727623). I really liked the design of the dress and it seemed like (and was) a fairly simple one to construct as well. I didn't make any alterations to the pattern except to fit the measurements and the length I wanted. I used some quilting cotton that I had in stash and it actually worked really well for this pattern.
In other news, I am participating in a "Make a Plushka toy patterns & kits" blog tour. The tour starts today over at Creativity Unmasked. Go and have a look at the lovely Babushka Doll that Laura stitched up.
And finally:
- today is my due date and the baby just doesn't want to come!
- I've got Minoru jacket and Colette Cinnamon slip cut out and ready to sew, but no motivation.
- I need to make a dress for a doll for Miss M....
Hopefully baby doesn't keep you waiting for too long! My SIL was due 5 days ago and still nothing. Good luck :)
