It’s just over 4 weeks till Christmas!! Have you started your preparations yet? I have begun mine with making the first of many handmade gifts this year – a ruffle scarf for my sister overseas. I got my little miss to model it for me.
I used 1 100g ball of Moda Vera Fishnet Fever yarn and it took me 3 hours and 10 mins exactly to make the scarf. The quickest project I have ever made, I think. It turned out to be 125cm in length and about 13cm wide. I am quite happy with it out and I hope my sister likes it.
I also ordered some wool from Bendigo for a few other gifts. It is classic 12ply, 100% wool. I love it!!! The colours are so beautiful and it feels so nice to work with (I already started using it). This was the first time I bought yarn from Bendigo Woollen Mills and it’s definitely not the last.
Are you making handmade gifts this year?
I really love the colours of both the scarf and your wool - so beautiful! I'd love to know what the colours are of the BWM yarns - so lush! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! You can sign up to receive the yarn swatches from BWM. They send them out free of charge and are very useful when choosing the colours. They also have all the colours on the website, but as usual, the colours on screen are slightly different to those in real life. So swatches are the best option.
