This is what my Mother’s Day morning looked like: coffee, croissants and a new sewing book! During the day the meals were prepared for me, I was relieved of all house duties and got to do some sewing! My hubby really did spoil me!! So with all that sewing time I managed to finish my new crossover top. This is what it looked like as pattern 114A in the Burda 11/2011 issue (Ukrainian edition).
And this is what it looks like on me.
I used some lovely knit fabric (that I got from a friend) and its made with 30% wool. The fabric is very soft and light, but warm at the same time! This top is quite casual and really nice to wear (especially with this cold weather at the moment!). The pattern was so fast and easy that from tracing the pattern to finishing the hems took me no more than 4 hours (non-stop)! It really was the quickest garment I’ve ever sewn.
How did you spend this Mother’s Day?
The tops looks very cosy, great job!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic girl! I think it could go either way - cazsh, or dressed up a bit - depending what accessories you put with it. I'm sure you could see it strutting around in NYC! :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic job.
And it looks like you got thoroughly spoilt on Mother's Day - way to go! :) Hope your week is off to a good start and that you aren't freezing yet! (I'm looking forward to Friday's temps!)
