This week I’ve been busy in my creative space. First off, I made some zip pouches for my Etsy and MadeIt shops. They are part of my limited edition Japan collection and feature some lovely Japanese cotton prints. I am working on tissue holders that match the pouches and they will be available in the stores shortly.
I also made a couple of I Spy bags for two lovely little girls in the family (following this great tutorial) and have a third one in progress. I reduced the size of the bags, as the original was too large for my liking.
And finally, I am cutting out the pattern to make this lovely blouse from Burda 12/2011 issue (Ukrainian issue). The blouse is described as being in “British style” and one that a follower of Sherlock Holmes would wear. I love Sherlock Holmes stories (and the latest TV series) so I had to make this blouse!!! I also like the unusual sleeve position and the stand collar.
I bought a slightly wrong check fabric though. The pattern calls for small check fabric, while I came away with large check…. Oh well, I will make it in that anyway and hope it looks ok in the end.
What have you been up to this week? More lovely spaces over here!
Your work is beautiful. I cannot wait to see your finished blouse, I think the larger checks will be fine!

ReplyDeleteI love the little I spy pouches... so cute! What a cute top... I think it will look great in the fabric you have chosen :)
ReplyDeleteSnap, we watched Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jnr version) last night, as the children hadn't all seen it & they want to see the second one, it was great. I also enjoyed the television series too, just clever all round. Loving the fabrics too, love Posie (i'm a friend of Ros's too)
