Now that Christmas is over I can show you the gift I made for my mum-in-law.
Better Homes & Gardens had a pattern for a similar bag in one of the issues and my mum-in-law mentioned that I could make her a bag like that for Christmas. I was happy oblige.
The outer bag is made from Japanese quilting cotton and the lining is cotton from Spotlight. The bag features bamboo handles, a couple of pockets and a magnetic clasp.
I am very happy with how it turned out. The handles are a bit flimsy though and move around within the loops. I told my mum-in-law that if they become too much of a nuisance I will replace them with something else.
The above pouch is my first custom order though my Etsy store – very exciting! :)
The bag looks awesome!! :)

ReplyDeleteNice stuff! I've been meaning to respond to your comment about meeting up for forever- but you know, Christmas is soooo full on! I'd love to meet up next time I come up to Sydney, and if you're ever down in the Gong just send me an email, I can take you to see my friend's wonderful crafty little shop! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I really like the custom order pouch. The design on the outside side is simple but effective and what a beautiful bright fabric inside! Looks great!
