mcs–cutting out

In my creative space this week I am busy cutting out 5 inch squares. I have been inspired to make a quilt and it will be my first one! All  I have to do it cut out 80 squares and the rest is easy (I hope).

This week I have also discovered a love for my rotary cutter and a cutting mat. I always used to mark the lines on fabric and cut with scissors. But that is in the past now! So much quicker, straighter and easier with a rotary cutter. I just wish I used it for my past projects.

    Good luck with your quilt! I think I might have to try this rotary cutter everyone raves about! Still a scissors girl! I'm not good at change...

    I love the colors you have chosen for your quilt. I still mostly use scissors, but use the rotary cutter for larger cuts.

    I agree, rotary cutters are the BOMB. I seriously think I could marry mine.. ha, it makes my life so much easier!
