my creative space - tiny pants

I have now officially commenced sewing for my little Ukralian. This week I made two pairs of tiny pants. I used Baby Pants pattern by Made by Rae.

I am very happy with the result and thinking of making a couple more pairs. The only difficult task is selecting unisex material [one of the disadvantages in not knowing what gender baby you are having]. :)

While sewing the first pair I discovered a new skill. Have you ever managed to sew the pin into your garment? I have now!!!

p.s. Have you voted in my "boy or girl" poll? :)

  1. Oh, they are so sweet! Glad you are back blogging:)

I am hopeless at sewing cloths and skirts is the only thing I've tried but I really want to perfect my skills. I might put it on my next year's list;)

  2. OH! MY! I do not know how you sewed through the pin! Let alone doing so without breaking the pin, the needle or the thread that is truly noteworthy! You made me gasp and giggle at the same time. Is that a giggasp?
Great little pants they look ace!

  4. Very cute. At least the pin didn't spring out and poke you in the eye! I've had a few near misses like that! xx

  5. Aww, cute as pants! I can't even imagine how small they are. You've given me a good idea for a gift for the weekend though - ta!

  6. Cute! I don't envy the unisex fabric hunt but my Lotta Jansdotter book has some great unisex fabric, mostly Scandinavian type stuff & simple screen printed bits. I'm sure your 'Ukralian' will love them!
