The style “C” is a singlet top with spaghetti straps.
Since it was my first time trying out a Japanese pattern, I decided the finished top will be used as pyjamas. I added some matching shorts, using a pattern from one of my Burda sewing magazines.
I have found that using Japanese sewing book is not very difficult, even though I do not speak the language. There were a few instances where I wasn’t sure about a few things, but I worked it all out in the end.
One thing I didn’t like is that the top is shorter and wider than I thought it would be. For my next project I would have to add some length and reduce the width of the garment.
I have enjoyed sewing with this book and I’m looking forward to making something else.
Looks great. xx
ReplyDeleteYour dress turned out really cool!
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult to work on Japanese sewing books too when I'm making clothing. Those books are so often for very experienced people and lots of things I don't know are not described since they are considered basic knowledge! You did an amazing job though!!
